What should I wear?
You will find people dressed in all kinds of ways at Holy Trinity. Please come as you feel comfortable, smart or casual. There will be people in suits and others in jeans, some in shorts (when its warm) and others straight from work. You are welcome.
What will it cost?
There is no charge. Seriously. Our regular members give all the money that funds the running of our church and Vicar. We do not receive any central funds, nor do we pass a plate during the service. If you would like to give to the life and work of the church there are boxes near to the entrance and standing order forms at the back of church.
What do you expect from me?
We do ask that you would show respect to those who are praying and singing and not talk during the service
What are you after?
We are here to make God's kindness visible. We pray that you might know how much God loves you and want to respond to His love.
How long with the Service last?
The service times are noted in The Monthly Pattern for Sunday Services on the home page. Most of our Sunday services are around 1 hour long. Our 10:30 a.m. Communion service (on the second Sunday of the Month) lasts 1 and a half hours.
Can I walk out before the end?
At any time! We have plenty of seating, and there are always two exits. If you don't like it or need some fresh air you are welcome to leave.
What about kids?
We love having children with us – that does mean that there is a certain amount of background noise. We have a crèche for the 0 to 4's and God Rocks Café Groups for the 5 to 14s. The Pattern of Sunday Services (above) indicates when the groups are running. Our crèche room (refurbished in 2010) is available during all our services for a change of scene, breast feeding and nappy changing.
What if I want a quieter service?
Our evening services generally have less than twenty people and are quieter (and more reflective).
What if I need the loo?
We have a toilet at the back of church - so it is easy to get to discreetly, even during the services. You may feel more comfortable leaving or entering your pew during one of the hymns or songs. (also see the Disabled Access FAQs on the Home page.)
I like it here - how can I get involved?
One of the quickest ways to get involved (without any commitment) is to speak to our Vicar Tim Phillips or our Reader Steve Clowes. You can contact them through the Parish Office or at one of the services. Their photos are in the porch on the right hand side as you come into the building.
