This three-times-a-year Termly Vision Review gives some insight into areas of church life that might otherwise only be mentioned in our annual report.

Safeguarding

Our new Safeguarding Team has met to review our Safeguarding Work, and we will be praying and giving for their work on Safeguarding Sunday, 16 November 2025.

Our Volunteer Review Group has also been at work, conducting reference checks as part of our safer recruitment process for volunteers in new roles.

Buildings

Our Grants group has found a few avenues for funding our Stained Glass window repairs that we are currently exploring. Some remedial electrical work has been completed, bringing us in line with current standards, and new sockets should be in place soon. We have also had our fire extinguishers serviced or replaced.

Our new Noticeboard should soon be installed, and we will be introducing a range of recurring notices about groups, activities, giving, and other areas of church life on the noticeboards and the TV screen at the back of the church.

Small Groups

Following much prayer and discussion, the Parochial Church Council (PCC) has approved a plan to launch Life Groups during Lent 2026, with training starting in November 2025 for potential leaders and hosts. Life Groups will be open to all who consider Holy Trinity Ashby their main spiritual home and are looking to grow as disciples of Christ. The Life groups include a home-based gathering, with a sit-down meal, followed by a time of study and prayer using the Swedish method of Bible Study.
